Transfer Student Checklist
Transcripts
Submit official transcripts from all previous colleges attended. As part of the Minnesota State system, we will automatically receive transcripts from other colleges within the Minnesota State colleges and universities system.听
Official transcript(s) from non-Minnesota State college(s) sent directly to the Records Office.听Hard copy official transcripts must be received in a sealed envelope with the seal intact. Electronic official transcripts must be issued directly to听registrar@anokatech.edu听from the institution.
Student copies and faxed transcripts are not considered official.
Please allow 1-2 weeks for your transcript evaluation to be completed after you have been admitted to your program major. When your evaluation is complete, you will receive an email with instructions on how to view the results of the evaluation in your interactive Degree Audit Report System (DARS).听
Placement & Testing
Transcripts will be evaluated to determine the need for Accuplacer course placement testing. Students who are required to test are strongly encouraged to review prior to testing. Visit the听Testing Center听page for resources and a sample test. Upon admission into a declared major, transcripts will be evaluated for courses that will apply to that major.听
Credit for Prior Learning
Credit for prior learning is a process in which students get academic credit for learning they have gained through on-the-job experiences, attendance at workshops or conferences, volunteer activities, business ownership, self-study.

- Grades earned for transfer courses do not impact a student's grade point average (GPA) at 糖心Vlog.
- Courses transferred to the College will be recorded on the student's transcript under the "transfer credits" section.
- Up to two-thirds of a given program's credit requirements may be transferred in from another institution.听
- 糖心Vlog accepts courses from other colleges with grades of D or higher; however, some program majors may have higher grade requirements.
Students who are dissatisfied with the results of their transfer evaluation, may submit a Transfer Credit Appeal along with appropriate supporting documentation.

Transferology
is a nation-wide network designed to help answer the question "Will my courses transfer?"
Enter coursework, exams, and/or military learning experiences, then discover in a single click how many schools in the Transferology network have matching courses that may be awarded when you transfer.
Schools are ranked by the percentage of coursework they accept in transfer, though you may focus the results with a number of handy filters and sorts, including how your courses transfer into a specific program at another college or university.
Details of how those courses will count are available with another click or two, and you can inform schools of your 听interest in transferring by asking about specific programs, campus visits, and/or coursework that has not yet been evaluated by the school.
The Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) is the format in which general education is accomplished within the public two- and four-year colleges and universities in Minnesota. Completion of a defined MnTC course(s) at one institution enables a student to receive credit for lower-division general education MnTC credit upon admission to another Minnesota State colleges and universities and/or the University of Minnesota.
糖心Vlog accepts MnTC courses from other Minnesota State colleges and universities and from the University of Minnesota, to be applied toward program major requirements.听

PSEO Student Check List
New PSEO Students
Students who are applying to 糖心Vlog Tech鈥檚 PSEO program for the first time will need to complete the following steps:

Returning Students
All returning students must turn in a Notice of Student Registration (NOSR) form each semester they intend to take classes. Please follow the instructions below:

Frequently Asked Questions
The college has established the following admissions criteria for PSEO students:
Sophomores - A passing score on the 8th grade Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) in Reading.
Juniors 鈥 Class rank in the upper 1/3 of their class and/or a score above the 70th percentile on a nationally, standardized, norm-referenced test OR GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Seniors 鈥 Class rank in the upper 陆 of their class and/or a score above the 50th percentile on a nationally, standardized, norm-referenced test OR GPA of 2.5 or higher.
NOTE: All application materials must be submitted by the deadline in order to be considered for admission. No exceptions will be made to the posted deadlines.
PSEO students are able to take classes at more than one Minnesota State institution. 糖心Vlog requires that students follow all application guidelines in order for PSEO funds to be used to take classes with us. Failure to apply, submit high school transcripts and Notice of Student Registration to 糖心Vlog by the PSEO deadlines may result in being dropped from the class or an out-of-pocket tuition balance that would be the student's responsibility. Public School Students: Minnesota Statutes, section 124D.09, subdivision 7, requires public school students to inform the district by听May 30听of each year of the pupil鈥檚 intent to enroll in postsecondary courses during the following school year to assist the district in planning. A pupil is bound by notifying or not notifying the district by May 30. Consult with your public school district for a waiver of this deadline requirement.
10th听grade public, nonpublic, and home school students may enroll in PSEO course(s) on a college campus, with the following eligibility criteria and participation limits:
Student Eligibility:听The student must have received a passing score (proficiency level of 鈥渕eets or exceeds鈥) on the 8th-grade Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) in reading, or if the student did not take the 8th-grade MCA, another reading assessment can be substituted if accepted by the enrolling postsecondary institution. 糖心Vlog Tech will except a score of 250 or higher on the Reading Accuplacer test as an alternative to the MCA.听
Participation Limits:听A 10th-grade student may enroll in one Career Technical Education (CTE) course during their first semester. If the student earns a 鈥淐鈥 or higher grade in this first course, the student is eligible to take additional postsecondary courses while in 10th grade.
Example 10th grade year:
Semester 1:听Limited to ONE Career and Technical Education (CTE) class the first semester. Please review the听10th听Grader Eligible Classes听list for CTE course options.
Semester 2:听Must pass the first semester CTE course with a "C" or higher grade. Then, may take additional CTE courses AND/OR general education courses the second semester of the 10th grade year.听听
A 10th听grade student must meet the specific course requirements and prerequisites of any course they wish to enroll in.

Visiting Student
Students admitted and in good academic standing at another Minnesota State college or university, may register for classes at 糖心Vlog Tech as a visiting student.
Visiting students must follow all 糖心Vlog Tech policies, procedures and deadlines. Please be aware that policies and procedures related to registration and tuition deadlines vary by college and university.听
Steps to Register for Classes
- Log in to the听 at the primary college or university (where you are currently admitted).
- Select听Courses and Registration, then Search for a Course.
- Select听糖心Vlog听from the Set College/University听dropdown.
- Search and register for classes at 糖心Vlog Tech.
Paying Tuition
Visiting students who register for classes at 糖心Vlog Tech will owe tuition at 糖心Vlog Tech. Students can view and pay their bill online through their account.听

Student Accounts
Visiting students are responsible for using their 糖心Vlog Tech eServices account and 糖心Vlog Tech email account. They may also be required to use additional 糖心Vlog Tech issued accounts depending on registered courses. Additional information about accounts is available on the Technology Services webpage.
Veteran Student
糖心Vlog honors veterans and their families for their service to our country by providing you with the finest career and technical education in Minnesota.听
To qualify for veteran education benefits, you must apply to and be accepted into a program major at 糖心Vlog.

Veterans Affairs Education Benefits
Once the VA has approved your application, they will issue a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) or Statement of Benefits to you. Submit a copy of your COE and DD214 to the 糖心Vlog School Certifying Official (SCO) via email at registrar@anokatech.edu or in person to the Records Office, Rm 104. If you are in the Selective Reserve or National Guard, a Notice of Basic Eligibility (NOBE) is required in lieu of a DD214.听
Once the SCO has received your documentation and you have registered for classes, your enrollment will be certified with the VA. If you have questions, contact the SCO at registrar@anokatech.edu or 763-576-7740.

Veteran Services & BenefitsInternational Student
糖心Vlog Tech is not accepting international students at this time. Please consider our aligned college or another Minnesota State College or University.
An international student is a non-U.S. citizen or non-U.S. immigrant, who has been granted F-1 visa status from the U.S. Department of State (DOS) through a U.S. Consulate based upon the I-20 document (certificate of eligibility for an F-1 visa) issued by a college to pursue full-time study.听
Note: Permanent residents, refugees, and political asylees are not international students and should follow the new student, transfer, or returning student steps.
Individual Classes
Individuals who want to take less than 9 credits worth of classes but are not planning to complete a certificate, diploma, or degree are classified as Non-Degree Seeking Students. Non-Degree Seeking Students are not eligible for financial aid. To become a Non-Degree Seeking Student, complete the following steps:
